Cinco De Mayo

Cinco De Mayo

Break out the tequila and bags of tortilla chips because it’s time to celebrate what some refer to as Mexico’s Independence Day. It’s a fiesta with vibrant colors and plenty of decorations. Send out your festive invitations; indulge in your streamers, colorful table and chair linens, bright flower arrangements, and scattered balloons. Cinco de Mayo is a fun time to celebrate with your family and friends. Get the kids involved by making the décor together, such as the centerpieces or balloon arrangements.

What’s a Cinco de Mayo party without a piñata? Fill it up with candies and treats to add to the fun with the kids. Mexican cuisine is a menu favorite at this time; caterers are on deck waiting to prepare for your big event. Rent a Margarita machine for the adults to enjoy, or just hire a bar staff and keep the tequila flowing all night. And what’s any party without music!? A Mariachi band would be perfect for this occasion! We can help you find one in your area; or at least a DJ to play your favorite music.

Earth Day

Earth Day

Celebrating Earth Day, where worldwide more than 192 countries participate in supporting environmental protection and growth, many trees and wildflowers are planted across the globe to prevent erosion, clean pollution, and reduce gas emission. Along with gardening, many celebrate by creating crafts such as birdhouses, singing, participating in community activities, recycling, riding your bike rather than driving, saving water, and cleaning with earth friendly products.

If you choose to participate in this universal tradition, you can find trees or flowers to plant via your local garden shop, or plant rental departments. If you want to get the kids involved, have a puppet show to educate them on the environment. If you are planning on providing food this day for a group of people, seek out a caterer who can present you with healthy, organic meals.

Maybe you can throw a fair or carnival for your community to take part in where musicians can perform eco-friendly songs. People can sell their used books, children’s artwork, and locally grown foods; you can even hire an organically friendly face painter or a magician who performs magic with all recycled items. There are many options to celebrating Earth Day in a safe, environmentally friendly way.
