My Wedding Cake |
My Wedding Cake is the most beautiful cake you have ever seen. This Wedding Cake has 6 round layers. Each layer has a thin coat of white chocolate cheese cake, raspberry preserves, and a very silky smooth chocolate moose between each layer. The cake itself is a very light and deliciously moist yellow cake. The frosting is a Chocolate Mocha, not too sweet, and the texture is smooth not grainy. As I take my first bite I find I'm in Heaven. I have never had tasted such perfection before I tasted my own Wedding Cake.
The Wedding Cake design is an assortment of colorful wild flowers. These wild flowers start at the top of the cake in a full bouquet as the Wedding Cake Topper, and cascade down the sides to the bottom of the last layer. The colors of these wild flowers are very vibrant and alive. These frosted flowers actually make me feel they are alive. We have a deep purple, a soft purple, soft baby blue, colonial blue, bright orange, pale yellow, pale pink, deep hot pink, and two shades of green for the leaves. The shades of green for the leaves are a deep hunter green and a soft melon green that reminds me of true Ivy leaves. The cascading leaves and flowers flow gently down the sides of the cake as if they were cascading Ivy on a European Castle. I find myself going over to the cake to smell the scent of these wild flowers. To realize they are designer frosted flowers. No, smell to these beautiful flowers, but what a sweet taste.
My family and friends are all telling me what a unique Wedding Cake this is. All our guest say "they have never seen or tasted such beauty and perfection for a Wedding Cake", as they have with my cake. Our guests are all asking who made this cake? The guest, no doubt, will use my baker for their next special occasion. One of my friends expressed to me how very jealous she was of this wonderful cake that looks like a piece of Culinary Art Work. She just got married last month and she had a beautiful Wedding Cake. After seeing mine, there is no comparison. My guests are actually taking pictures of the cake, and not of myself and my new husband.
I have saved the top layer as tradition calls for. Traditionally you freeze the top layer and eat it on your first year anniversary. I believe my husband and I will celebrate with this cake on our one month anniversary. I believe we can not wait an entire year to taste this delicious cake.
The cake is almost gone!!! This is five layers, that feeds 150 people. Our guests have been taken seconds and thirds. I think I saw two of Ken's elderly Aunts take a few pieces and put them in there purses. I will not say anything to them. After all I don't blame anyone for wanting to take home this delicious cake. As I look around the room everyone is having a great time at our reception. I look towards the table with the cake on it and see: My two little niece's at the table scooping up the left over frosted rosettes from the bottom of the tray that this wonderful cake was on. They see me watching them, and with their sweet innocent giggle, they cover their faces with their small gentle hands, because they have been caught eating the frosting .
As the day is coming to an end. My guest are saying goodbye to my husband and me. The caterer has boxed up the top of my Wedding Cake for us to take home. The caterers have placed the top of the cake in a beautiful pink and white flowered box. This box has a big satin pink ribbon tied around it. I can't wait to go home and dig into the cake. Yes, I will dig into it tonight.
My Alarm clock is ringing, "Why is my alarm clock ringing"? As I sit up in bed confused, I realize this is only a "DREAM". What a dream? But, I tasted, the cake. It couldn't be a dream. I was talking and dancing with my friends and relatives at my reception. I even carried my Wedding Cake Topper home in its beautiful pink box.
As I sit on my bed trying to wake up, alone. I realize that it is a "dream", I'm not even married. Wow, what a dream, I tasted, saw, and even took pictures of this fabulous Wedding Cake. Now, I will find a man to marry and have this Wedding Cake I dreamed of at my real life Wedding. Shh, let's keep this dream a secret. I don't want anyone to think I'm crazy. See you on my real Wedding Day.
