My work is based on the way it was done in the 1800’s, it is done upside-down, backwards, all free hand. I use a silicon carbide stone that I have to lead, thread, balance, shape and sharpen by hand to make it do the kind of cut that I need it to do.

I have been doing this type of work for 36 yrs. I enjoy it very much but it is a dying art. I hope more young people get interested in this way of engraving to carry it on for more years to come.

Each item is done individually, even if you order a set of something alike there will be a difference between each piece because each is done separately.
