My name is Mary Mullowney. I am a State of Florida Notary Public and an Ordained Minister with the Universal Ministries. I am honored to perform wedding, vow renewal and commitment ceremonies.
In my capacity as an Officiant, I have performed many non-denominational ceremonies on beaches, in parks, on boats, restaurants, backyards, hi-rise terraces and more. My goal is to be certain that YOUR day is done YOUR way, as stress free as possible.
We have a few different selections of ceremonies:
Simple Elegance -For informal gatherings of 15 or fewer guests, this package is basic and simple. The
couple conducts their own ceremony and exchange standard vows. I will officiate
at your choice of location and will file your signed marriage license with the county.
Personalized Ceremony-For a gathering that includes fifteen - forty guests, this ceremony offers unlimited email and telephone contact. I will work with the couple to assist in developing customized vows and be more involved in developing the ceremony agenda
and activities. Perform ceremony at your location. File signed marriage license with the county.
A Bit of Pageantry-For gatherings of forty to one hundred, the same services as "Personalized Ceremony" above, plus attendance at the rehearsal for direction of the wedding party ceremony activities.
The Really Big Day- For gatherings of more than one hundred, will include a meeting to discuss details, attendance at rehearsal and unlimited contact. I will assist in any facet of your ceremony, i.e., seeking out vendors such as florest, caterer, disc jockey, hotel/motel arrangements, etc.
We also have special ceremonies:
The Unity Candle-The unity candle lighting ceremony is becoming more and more common in today's weddings. The ceremony symbolizes the pledge of unity between the bride and groom and the merging of two families. It usually occurs after the exchanging of rings and before the couple is pronounced husband and wife (sometimes it is done after this however). Usually the mothers light their tapers before taking their seats, usually to a special piece of music. (This is often an instrumental song so as to not take any attention away from the mothers.) When the bride and groom light the center candle, a song is sung or played. They either take a few minutes up by the altar to exchange a few words or they can take a flower that was placed by the candle and present it to their mothers at this time.
The Rose Ceremony-The Rose Ceremony is simple yet profoundly moving. The bride and groom exchange two red roses, symbolizing the giving and receiving of their love for each other throughout their entire married life. The Rose Ceremony also conveys how to use the rose and its symbolism in difficult times in order to forgive each other.
Sand Ceremonies- After the officiant reads the text below (or any text you choose) pour the two containers of sand into the third container simultaneously. You may wish to leave a small amount of sand in each container to symbolize that although you are now joined as one, you each remain individuals. bride and groom, you have just sealed your relationship by the giving and receiving of rings and the exchange of a kiss, and this covenant is a relationship pledge between two people who agree that they will commit themselves to one another throughout their lives. The most beautiful example of this partnership is the marriage relationship. You have committed here today to share the rest of your lives with each other. Today, this relationship is symbolized through the pouring of these two individual containers of sand one, representing you, Bride, and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, and the other representing you, Groom, and all that you were and all that you are, and all that you will ever be. As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be.
