How long have you been in the DJ business?
I've been a DJ for over 20 years. This has made me an expert in dealing with the unexpected and making your day run smooth.
Are you a Multi-DJpany?
No, If you hire me, I'll be the one to show up along with one assistant. In case of an emergency, I make sure there is always someone available to back me up.
How do you dress for your formal events?
I wear a suit to formal events and dress appropriately to all other events.
Do you have a backup system?
Yes, I take aplete backup system to all of my events.
Do you have DJ insurance?
Yes, and I'll take care of sending the proof of insurance to your venue.
How far in advance should we book a DJ?
The sooner the better. With quality vendors, the popular dates will be booked a year or more in advance.
How do we secure your service?
We schedule a meeting and create an itinerary/timeline of what events you would like to happen, I'll play music samples for you to choose from, we'll determine the exact cost, sign a brief contract, place your reservation fee and this will secure your date.
How much do you charge?
I highly rmend that you first set-up a personal meeting with me which lasts around 2 hours, this way we can personally meet, I can get an idea of what you're looking for, describe my services to you and answer any questions you may have. Do you offer packages or is it All Inclusive?
I offer an All Inclusive package for every event: 2 DJ's (myself plus one assistant), All Announcements and MCing, Full Music Programming, Full DJ Set-Up, LED Lighting and a Cordless Mic. This also includes a 2 hour early arrival for set-up at no extra charge.
When is the balance due?
Preferably before, but no later than the day of your event.
Do you take requests?
Yes, as long the the requests are age appropriate and fitting for the event.
How do you play your music and what kind of equipment do you have?
I use Serato Software, Macbook Pro Laptop, Denon DN-S1000 CD Players, 2 QSC K12 Speakers, 1 SHURE cordless mic.
Do you have a light show?
Yes, I take LED lighting to every event. Uplighting and Gobos are available upon request.
What kind of music do you have?
I keep my library current with modern hits and also play: Swing, Jazz, 50's & 60's Rock n' Roll, Motown, Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Elektro, 70's Disco, 80's Disco, 80's Flashbacks, 80's Rock, Freestyle, Funk, Reggaeton, Bachata, Cumbias, Merenge, Salsa, Rancheras, Norte?as, Corridos, Quebraditas, & Spanish Rock. At our meeting I'll custom tailor the music to fit your personal style. Music is planned around what is traditional, along with your own music tastes and the response of your guests on the dancefloor.
Do you also handle the announcements and introductions as an Emcee?
Yes, I make sure every announcement is spoken clearly so everyone can understand in English or in Spanish.
Do you beat match your music to create a non-stop mix of music?
Yes, unless otherwise requested, for the dancing portion of your event, I blend the music together to maintain a packed dance floor.
Can you provide music for the Ceremony?
Yes, I have an additional system solely for that purpose.
How do you keep the flow of my reception moving?
I work closely with all of your vendors to keep things moving. Announcements are made only when everyone involved knows exactly what'sing next.
How early do you arrive to set-up?
Usually around 2 hours early. (NOTE: No extra charge for early arrival)
