Over eighteen years, Faiva Family has always believed in giving back to themunities, from California to the Polynesian Islands of Tonga, Europe and Florida. Faiva Productions has performed at events such as the American Cancer Society Walk for a Cure. Toured Europe and the Mediterranean to entertain our U.S Armed Forces. Helped fundraiser money to build a new church in the Tongan Village of Maka'ave. Traveled to Los Angeles to raise funds for their churchmunity. Fundraiser for needy families in the San Francisco area. Performed for retirementmunities all throughout the Bay Area, participated in Kids Fun Fest and Boys & Girls Club.
Faiva 'O Polinisia, a beautiful and entertaining Family Polynesian music and show group was founded by Bill Faiva and Makeleta Faiva Kefu in 1991 on the islands of Tonga. After moving from Tonga Islands to San Francisco, California we knew that this is our time to share our culture with the San Mateo County. To share our culture which teaches us respect, confidence, humility, and a true nurturing to those around us and those willing to learn.
In 1996 to 1998 Makeleta Faiva Kefu was the President of the Polynesian Club. She was a leader to her younger sisters and brothers, fellow classmates and the younger generation in the San Mateomunity. Her father Bill Faiva also stepped in and helped as a parent supporter for our Polynesian Youth. They performer two years in a row in the San Mateo Performing Art Center with the broadway show. In 1999-2003 Makeleta continue with her leadership as treasure and secretary for the Youth Group in St.Timothy's with her father Bill as our parent supporter and her brother and sisters as members.
And now our Faiva Family Bill Faiva, Makeleta Faiva Kefu, Ma'ata Faiva, Christopher Faiva, Lusia Faiva, Leita Faiva & Isileli Faiva hase together to organize a new beginning for our Youth today 2010!
