1. Consider the ages of your guests to help you decide which musical genres and artists are most important for your event. Make sure your band's strongest material is the music that is most important for entertaining you and your guests.
2. Be sure that the musicians and vocalists who appear on the demo are the same musicians that will perform at your event.
3. Close your eyes and just listen to the demos from various bands. DVDs are designed to entertain your eyes. Remember, you are buying music, not camerawork !
4. Go see the band live, even if it's only for 4-5 songs. Seeing the band live is like actually tasting some of the dishes on a menu !
5. Choose a band that is a good value (Quality vs. Price).
