If you are looking for the perfect 'lounge' feel, contact the Martini Manifesto. The Martini Manifesto is a Chicago-based jazz group consisting of three to four musicians (keyboardist, drummer, bassist, sax player) and female vocalist who perform classic jazz standards and show tunes. Established in 2000, thebined experience of the band members totals well over 20 years.

Michael Hesiak, saxophone, keyboards, and group co-founder, holds a B.A. in Music Education from the University of Illinois - Champaign and has over 18 years of professional playing experience. He also plays bass guitar, and writes, arranges and records jazz, rock, and electronic andmercial music. In his spare time he teaches saxomophone and is also a recording engineer.
In addition to freelancing, Michael also plays in the BeBop Daddys, The Fabulous Mudhounds, and The Derrick Stout Orchestra. His influences include Steely Dan, Michael Brecker, Pat Metheny, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Jimmy Smith and many others in various musical genres.
Cathy Herzon, vocalist, became an aplished pianist and flute player before studying voice and has been performing in Chicago since 1999 in jazz, blues and rock bands at various venues. Her style is greatly influenced by soul, the blues, R&B, top 40 hits and show tunes, and artists such as Carmen McRae, Ella Fitzgerald, and Aretha Franklin.
Chieko Yano, pianist, hails from Yokohama, Japan. After working several years as a pianist andposer in Tokyo, she moved to Chicago in 1998 and obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Piano from the Chicago College of Performing Arts. Chieko leads her own piano trio as well as a Japanese folk/jazz quintet, Chieko and the Yellowtails. She plays at Cafe Shino and has also appeared at Pops for Champagne, Small Bar, Smoke Daddy, Mason Sabika, and Isaac Hayes. She has played with Winton Marsalis, John Fedchock, Carl Alen, Rob Parton, Barry Winograd, Scott Mason, Bob Long, Marling Rosenberg, Phill Gratteau, Savoir Faire, and Taku Akiyama, among others.
Adam Walker, bass, plays professionally in and around Minneapolis/St. Paul and Chicago. His low-down influences include Rufus Reid, John Paul Jones and Jim Fielder. When no one is looking he also plays violin.
Tony Bussone, percussion, is one of the co-founders of the Martini Manifesto. Tony studied jazz and music at the College of Lake County, University of Wisconsin - Madison, and at the University of Illinois - Chicago and played in the top bands at both schools. He studied with Joel Spencer and Edward Petersen in Chicago and has performed with Edward Petersen, Larry Novak, Conte Condoli, and Michael Hesiak. His influences include Tony Williams, Jack Dejhonnette, Herlin Riley, and Joel Spencer. He also likes butterflies, clouds, and moonbeams.
