Phil Thompson continues to gain acclaim throughout the music and entertainment industry as an artist,poser, producer, television host and actor. As one of the nation's freshest faces to emerge as a pop/instrumental crossover, Phil continues his rigorous tour schedule performing across the globe: from the Royal Imperial Palace in Vienna, to the US Open Tennis Tournament in New York, and most recently headlining for two nights in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay's executive The Lounge during their recent UFC Championship event. Phil also recently joined his friends and fellow artists The Canadian Tenors (as seen on Oprah and Dr. Phil) on their recent tour stop in Minneapolis. In addition to four albums, Phil's music can be heard in numerous soundtracks including the Fox television series Blueprint for Green , the pop-country hit The Magic of Christmas Eve , the feature length film score for the PBS documentary Footsteps a Journey in Faith , and in the acclaimed 35W Bridge Tribute Final Ride Home available on iTunes with 100% of proceeds going to the Twin Cities Red Cross. In addition to producing Home for the Holidays: A Minnesota Christmas Volume 1 and 2 CD (sold in all Minnesota Target stores) and concert event (at the Historic Pantages Theatre in Minneapolis), Phil recentlypleted production on Broadway performer Connie Kunkle's first solo album. As a television host, Phil has appeared nationally on numerous programs including Shop NBC for their music and entertainment segments and PBS for some of their high profile pledge drives (including Pete Seeger's 90th Birthday Party Celebration and concert events such as Yanni Voices, The Canadian Tenors, and Clay Aiken to name a few). On a regional level Phil has been a regular guest on a variety of regional programs including Showcase Minnesota (NBC Affiliate), Twin Cities Live (ABC Affiliate), and Minnesota Sunday Morning (CBS Affiliate). As an actor Phil continues to build on his theatre experience as an actor throughout high school and in a number of productions while attending the University of Minnesota (BSB 2007) and has put his talent to use in a number ofmercial and film roles which most recently have included a national Great Clips hairmercial and the lead role in a 48 Hour Film Festival project leading to a Best Actor nomination for Phil's role as Paul Williams in the film Topsoil.
