Variety Bands

Whether it's Bach, Beatles, Buble, Lady Gaga, or Lady Antebellum, we, as a Nashville-based group of professional musicians, add class and sophostication to your wedding ceremony, wedding reception, corporate event, or special occasion.
We seek to fit our variety bands with the mood of your event. For weddings, we play lush melodies that will capture the essence of your celebration. For corporate events, we will make sure our tune conveys that of a world-class act.  For funeral services, memorials, and graveside services, music is reassuring. We play songs that bring back vivid memories of the special moments spent together.  Our main band members include Linda Davis and John Christian Phifer.
Linda Davis, having started her string quartet band in 1998, has nurtured the concept of strings by playing music for all occasions.  Each member of her band contributes their time and talent to arrange requests.
John Christian Phifer, recommended by the quartet band, established himself as a person who seeks to meet the needs of families during their time of loss.  He serves by providing music in a funeral service that reflects the personality and lifestyle of the deceased.
You can have a choice of designing your ensemble with us for your specific event.  Our variety includes a string quartet with two violins, a viola, and a cello; a string trio, which includes a violin, a viola, and a cello; a string trio or quartet with a trumpet, harp, or vocalist; singer Sandy Merrill singing Sanatra and Buble; a jazz trio playing the piano, bass, and drums; a jazz trio or duo with a vocalist, Sandy Merrill, singing Sinatra and Buble; the Blackwire Orchestra that includes a string quartet with a bass, drums, and a keyboard playing classic rock; the Blackwire Quintet that includes a string quartet with a bass player that performs classic rock, and the Silver String Orchestra that includes five or more instruments to play your favorite hits.
