The Fran Dimmick Trio is a seasoned and professional group of musicians that are known for their dependability, talent and inter-action with the party guests. They have an extensive song list which can be customized by the client and covers such genres as jazz, pop, oldies, R&B, Latin and rock 'n roll. A nice ambience is created for the cocktail hour with an easy jazz feel that is non-intrusive and sets a relaxed mood for all. When the party gets started, the band jumps it up a notch with everyone's favorite party tunes. Their venues have included corporate and private parties, cabarets, restaurants and wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Fran Dimmick Trio also performs as a duo, quartet and a 5-piece ensemble. MUSICIAN BIOS FOR THE FRAN DIMMICK TRIO
As a professional musician Fran Dimmickes from a successful career in Southern California. She moved to Las Vegas in 1999 with her retro shows, That Sentimental Swing and Shout which were the house shows at the Tropicana Express in Laughlin for six years. She re-created the music of The Andrews Sisters, McGuire Sisters and the girl groups of the sixties by arranging the music as it was originally recorded. The cast included a 13-member ensemble which featured her female trio known as The Swing Sisters.
Fran was a Regional, National, and International Music Festival Judge for Yamaha and Roland Keyboard Division where she had the pleasure of judging with The Carpenters, Captain and Tennile, The Osmonds, Bill Conti and Jerry Goldsmith. Her band opened up for Lionel Ritchie at the Wynn Hotel and Casino and she arranged the vocal back-up charts for The Fifth Dimension, Frankie Avalon, and Bobby Rydell for a PBS special.
Fran is a keyboardist and instructor, vocal and musical arranger, musical director and producer of theater, churches and performance groups.
Mike Smart has over 35 years of experience as a bassist, guitarist and vocalist. He covers several genres of music and toured nationally with country superstar Johnny Lee as his musical director and musician. He has played all major casinos and has opened for or played with Kenny Rogers, Alabama, The Gatlin Brothers, George Strait, Dave Mason and Ricky Nelson among others. Mike's vocals cover a wide range of styles including Michael Buble, Joe Cocker, Billy Joel, Tom Jones, The Eagles, Lionel Ritchie, Van Morrison, Neil Diamond and The Righteous Brothers. Mike knows how to keep the crowd energized and is a great asset to the The Fran Dimmick Trio.
